For Pitties' Sake

For Pitties' sake

When funds are available, HOPE's For Pitties' Sake Fund may be able to offer financial help for spay and neuter surgeries for individually owned pit bulls and pit bull mixes whose owners cannot afford to pay. (Pit Bull lineage must be evident in mixes.)

For Pitties' Sake Guidelines

  • There are no restrictions as to the owner’s residence or income level.
  • The dogs need to be healthy and between the ages of 3 months and 8 years.
  • Female dogs should not be in heat.
  • The cost of any needed vaccinations is the responsibility of the owner. If proof of rabies vaccination is not available, we will vaccinate for rabies for $10. We can also provide a DAPP vaccination (distemper) for $10 at the owner's request.

In regard to pit bull mixes, the dog should have the look of a pit bull. The judgement of the clinic will be the determining factor in questionable cases. Please be aware that For Pitties' Sake spay / neuter appointments may need to be made 4 – 6 weeks in advance. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
